3-day workshop on research methodology in social sciences concludes
Guwahati, April 25 : A 3-day-extended workshop on “Research Methodology in Social Sciences with specific reference to Qualitative and Quantitative Research” structured by the Department of Political Science, University of Science and Technologies Meghalaya (USTM) in collaboration with the Bengal Institute of Political Reports (BIPS), Kolkata properly concluded on Saturday.
In the inaugural session, Prof. G D Sharma, Vice Chancellor of USTM congratulated the department for having the initiative to arrange the workshop and inspired the participants to avail all the possibilities to very clear their queries concerning analysis techniques via the workshop.
Prof. Raj Kumar Kothari, President, BIPS, gave a transient introduction of the corporation. The Typical Secretary of BIPS, Prof. Biswanath Chakraborty gave the opening remarks of the workshop and mentioned the worth of Research Methodology in the current state of affairs.
The inaugural session was adopted by diverse academic classes. Prof. C. Joshua Thomas took a session on “Introducing Investigation Methodology as a subject” and guided the participants on how to prepare a fantastic study proposal. Prof. Joydeep Baruah introduced his lecture on “Basics of Quantitative Research” and Prof. A. C. Talukdar took a session on “How to conceive a superior exploration proposal”.
In the realistic session on how to formulate a investigate proposal, the contributors ended up requested to put together a study proposal and they experienced to give their shows on the last working day of the workshop.
Prof. Anil Kumar Mohapatra delivered a lecture on “Review of Literature and Ethics in Research”. Prof. A. K. Baruah spoke on “Importance of Research” when Dr. Md. Nazeer Hussain spoke on “Basics of Dissertation writing”. Prof. Sujoy Ghosh sent his lecture on “Research Design” even though Prof. Asis Mistry shipped his speech on “Quantitative Exploration in Social Sciences”.
The initially session of the third working day started out with presentations of the members on preparation of research proposal. The displays ended up held in different sessions providing all members a possibility to present their analysis proposal.
The workshop concluded with closing remarks by Prof A C Talukdar and Prof. Biswanath Chakraborty followed by the Feed-back submission by the contributors.
