SPS is continuing to negotiate with the Seattle Training Association (SEA), which signifies the district’s lecturers, categorised workers and tutorial assistants.

On the other hand, academics are nonetheless increasing considerations pertaining to the safety of in-man or woman learning. 

“Educators now in-human being with learners proceed to raise problems about the lack of important PPE and failure to observe well being and basic safety protocols,” reported the SEA in a statement Monday. “The district’s lack of ability to carry out wanted health and fitness and security protocols is delaying return to in-particular person mastering.”

The SEA claimed its bargaining group is operating “tirelessly” to reach an arrangement with SPS, “but we are unwilling to slash corners on protection safeguards in order to meet up with arbitrary deadlines.”
