Charter-school backers salivate over new Florida education chief

Charter-college advocates are cheering Friday’s appointment of Florida state Sen. Manny Diaz as the Sunshine State’s new education chief.

Diaz, the initially Hispanic to provide as Florida’s Section of Education commissioner, has been a longtime supporter of college preference and is anticipated to develop the sector upon using business in June.
