Globe High’s Amanda Mowrey is county’s Instructor of the Calendar year | Education

Amanda Mowrey of the World Substantial School District is this year’s receiver of the Gila County Instructor of the Yr Award. She was introduced a plaque and a $500 check at the Aug. 3 assembly of the Gila County Board of Supervisors.

Mowrey is a World native, who graduated from World Significant School in 2008. From there, she started her educational occupation at Jap Arizona College, earning an affiliate degree in liberal experiments and a bachelor’s diploma at Truman State University in romance languages with a concentration in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

She volunteered intermittently as a language teacher for five many years in Sao Tome, Africa, and various states in Mexico.
